ALIGN ~ Give yourself permission

Jessie Potter spoke truly when she said “If you always do what you’ve always done, you always get what you’ve always gotten.”

It is time to do things differently so that you can get different results.

An important and unseen aspect of doing things differently, is giving yourself permission to do so. Here is your opportunity. Seize it.

What do you want to give yourself permission to do differently in order to get what you want?

What do you want for yourself?

I give myself permission to:

  • say no
  • put myself first
  • prioritise my needs above others
  • prioritise my health, wellbeing and happiness
  • quit coffee
  • distance myself from family dramas or
  • create space between people who are not my cheerleaders and myself
  • to do unexpected things that delight me
  • to direct compassion towards myself
  • be kind to myself
  • love myself unconditionally
  • find my people
  • trust my intuition and inner knowing above all others
  • move my body in ways that feel good to me
  • ignor texts and phone calls
  • not care what others think
  • switch my phone off for as long as I want
  • not be available to others all the time
  • post unedited Instagram’s and YouTube clips
  • show up as my most authentic self
  • forgive myself for what I do now know
  • dance wildly
  • scream until my heart is content
  • accept and embrace who I am
  • embrace change
  • trust myself to know I what I need to do and that I will do it
  • trust life and my experience and knowledge
  • feel joy
  • laugh crazily whenever I feel compelled and even when I don’t
  • to make a total twat of myself
  • do what feels good to me
  • let friendships that don’t feel good go
  • be authentically myself
  • stop feeling like I need to justify myself
  • stop comparing myself with others
  • accept and embrace my experience

Expectations are grand things. They have a tendency to set us up for disappointment and perceived failure when we don’t meet them.

Almost every single person I have met with a chronic illness of any kind, has at some stage felt like their body is working against them, like their body has let them down.
